Following the first session on the Chinese market presented by CIPS – China International Pet Show, the second online seminar in this series looks at the status quo, trends and dynamics of the European pet market in times of pandemic. The presentation by Zoomark International and Interzoo Academy puts the spotlight on Europe, with a special focus on Italy and Germany.
The seminar offers an interesting insight into the changes in the pet population in Europe in the period from 2018 to 2020. Sales trends in pet food and care products, the development of distribution channels – from traditional pet retailers to chains and wholesalers – and last but not least the role and importance of e-commerce and electronic marketplaces form the central content. In addition, the emerging megatrends will be highlighted, such as an increasing importance of sustainability, premium products and the need for omni-channel marketing strategy.
